"Tuscan Diary Whole Vitamin D Milk" Amazon Review

"Tuscan Diary Whole Vitamin D Milk" Amazon Review

The type of audience for a typical Amazon Review is a customer, or a shopper who is looking for details about a certain product. Typically, this person is looking for advice on whether to invest or drop the object/ thing they are looking for. The “customer review” genre generally entails short informal recaps of products that anyone with an amazon can post. Sometimes there are often questions on how to use the product. But, mostly they are just reviews and ratings on whether the product was worth the purchase.
After reading some of the multiple of post on the “Tuscan Diary Whole Vitamin D Milk” I have multiple perceptions on the people who drink this milk. The most recent post did not target a particular audience more like the person who wrote them is really venting about their life and how Tuscan Milk just happened to be a part of it. For example, if you click on this link: https://www.amazon.com/review/RKT07YYORZMZE/ref=cm_cr_dp_title?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B00032G1S0&channel=detail-glance&nodeID=16310101&store=grocery

You will see what I am talking about. This Amazon Customer instead of talking about how well the milk tasted or if it was a great product to buy describes a tragic incident in her life in which her husband left her for a waitress who lived down the street from her. She describes how her husband every Friday would come home and kiss her etc.. giving almost the impression like she was about to describe her sexual life then subtly mentions “He was a good man, a wonderful husband who always brought the milk on Friday, Tuscan Whole Milk, 1 Gallon, 128 fl oz.” It is almost as if the Milk held their whole life together. Which is very said when she recaps to everyon what happens when her husband forgets to bring the milk home one Friday. Saying:

““What happened to the milk?”

"Oh,"he smiled sheepishly, glancing aside,"I guess I forgot today."
That was when I knew. He was tired of this life with me, tired of bringing home the Tuscan Whole Milk, 1 Gallon, 128 fl oz.”

This definitely does not fit the typical “customer review” which I outlined. A typical review of this milk would be more like the milk brought was an excellent product that I drink every day or the milk was sore when delivered to me, this is unbelievable etc… Not tis emotional story in which after she posted multiple people commented on her deep emotional story in which they to felt connected to, never mentioning the milk or the value of the product.

  1. Good description of the typical Amazon product review. Your analysis correctly shows that the review you chose does not fit the typical audience or genre of an Amazon review.

Try to pay attention to word choice and punctuation for future writing assignments! Many of your sentences lack punctuation, and some of the word choices make for awkward phrasing.
